Privacy

Privacy is a core principle at S&L App Development. Each of our apps has its own section below that says exactly what that app collects.

InkDrop Notes

Effective October 26, 2026

InkDrop Notes is a note-taking app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. In short: your notes belong to you, they are kept on your devices and in your own iCloud account, and we do not collect them.

What stays on your devices and in your iCloud

Your notes, to-dos, meeting notes, reminders, voice recordings, photos, scans, business cards, tags, attachments and settings are stored on your device and synced through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We cannot see this data, and it is not sent to our servers. Account logins you store in the app are encrypted on your device. Apple's own terms and privacy policy govern iCloud.

If you turn on Auto Backup or export a backup, the backup file is saved to your iCloud Drive or to the location you choose. It is not sent to us.

What our server receives

The app has a free 7-day trial and a one-time lifetime purchase. To make the trial work across your devices and to prevent the free trial from being started again and again, the app contacts a small service we run. It receives and stores only:

The service is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any web service, Cloudflare may process technical details of the request, such as your IP address, to deliver the response and protect against abuse. We do not store your IP address with your trial record. We keep trial records only as long as needed to prevent repeat trials and to run the service. If you want a record removed, contact us.

What we do not collect

Purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple tells the app whether you own the lifetime purchase, and the app checks that on your device.

Permissions the app may ask for

You can turn any of these off in your device's Settings.

Sharing

If you choose to share a note, it is shared through Apple's iCloud sharing with the people you invite. Only those people can open it. We are not involved.

Siri and Shortcuts

If you use Siri or Shortcuts with the app, Apple handles your voice and requests under its own privacy policy. The app receives only the text needed to create a note, to-do, reminder or search, and uses it on your device. We do not send it to any third party.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will also be described in the app's update notes.
